Although there are common areas of use, the areas of use in general are very different. I think the important thing is which one is more efficient for the work being done.

That's because it goes through every single file to hide any referenced geometry, so if the assembly is quite big, with a lot of referenced geometry such as planes, sketches, insert points, coordinate systems, etc, it can take a lot of time. It doesn't just hide bend lines, it hides other sketches ...

As far as I know, macros are limited features, so VBA is sufficient.
VS (c#, "vb") is used to use many innovations and differences.
Example: Ribbon menu, FeatureManager, plugin, sw independent sw utilities.
Maybe when VBA isn't enough for a simple macro. (QR code etc.)
