Can you utilize the Excel format w/ your BOM. It likely won't be tied/updated with your model but you could probably do much more with it.

Yeah, that's correct. I didn't think there was an immediate solution, but I was hoping that someone might know a trick that I don't. Like Abaqus, NX Nastran also has the ability to manually set degrees of freedom right down to the node level. SW Simulation is much more automated, which is nice from...

I didn't want to start a new thread so figured I'd just add this here.

Any chance of setting the 'log you out' timer extended? I log on in the morning and sometimes don't get back to the forum for a while and by then the system has logged me off. Could it be increased to at least 4 hours?

One engineer here uses Catia (an old version), some "engineers", and I use the term very loosely, use SWX 2013, and I, I like to think of myself as a real engineer, use SWX 2021.

Well, that might have been part of the problem. I went in to the properties and added Material to the list & entered what I wanted. That seems to have done the trick.

Is there a way to show a flattened sheet metal view on the same sheet as the folded part is dimensioned, etc.? Yes, that is exactly what I tried (v2021 SP 3.0) Doesn't seem to work so I placed the view on a separate sheet and locked the view as a workaround. Grrr. o[

With one vertex fixed (and two slider constraints on side faces) the part tends to rotate about this vertex. The results are correct in this case (zero strains, accurate reaction values) but I would prefer to avoid this rigid body motion. Using Inertial Relief might work just as well in that case.
