We had the opportunity to head a few hours south this weekend and enjoy the Texas Hill Country. It always surprises me how much a few hours drive can make in what season you are in. Re: Solidworks - Cutlist and Display states issues.
Hidden part appearing in the drawing is most likely caused by how it was made originally. Most likely was hidden in drawing originally then hidden in part. So the view most likely has the body to hide/show selected in it's view properties. The angled cut most likely don't appear because they are not...

If Dassault truely is doing this, then Mesh2Surface should approach SolidWorks competitors. How absurd to ask someone to discontinue a program because it brings no added value from their point of view. Who are they to determine what is added value and what isn't? Sounds more like one of the followin...

Re: Standard Parts Library: Configurations or Individual Parts?
We started with individual parts and then went with configurations instead, the reason being that we had a promoted assembly with each length in it and switching between configuration of the promoted assembly to reach the individual part would cause the drawing to lose it's references such as dimens...

Anyone ever got this warning?
My collegue has had this warning a few times and he can't figure out what is the root cause. The message says : a sharing violation occurred when accessing an unnamed file.

To be fair, they did address that problem a few years ago. It still happens to me occasionally, but much less than before they worked on it. "Still happens occasionally" is pretty much a resume of most of the issues they fix lol I'm on 2023 SP4 and still get the seed issue fairly often. C...

That was a quick example. Frequently you don't want to mirror the entire body, just a single feature. True. For hole wizards, I try to recreate an entire feature rather then mirror it because there are too many times where we've started with symmetrical sides and ended up with non-symmetrical sides...

Yes you are right there that SW is broken beyond repair and ask the dev to add/change or even repair will brake the tool even more. The key is given free. If you do not plan to upgrade or pay subscription later, you can continue using the key. So there is no recurring cost. And you can use the key on multiple machines. The only downfall is that the key is not forward compatible i.e. it can not read/write data form future files....

Yeah, uh, how knowledgeable are you about SolidWorks or I.T. in general?
The error you just posted speaks of Microsoft SQL Server, which means you tried to install the server image for the licence manager.

You don't need to edit anything, your Cut-Extrude1 loses it's reference upon a rebuild. Edit the cut and accept it and everything will be fine and dandy. Didn't re-happen after. Most likely, features were moved around and SolidWorks fumbled in it's reference reassignement. Since it hadn't been "...

Drawing validator
Hello,
I know PDM can tell people that their drawings are outdated, are there any add-ons that would do the same thing? We are having a recurring issue where users forget to open drawings after modifying parts/assemblies and I'd like to have a way to validate this.

I've never had trouble with CTRL+Q in a sketch, the only thing it does is it closes the sketch command to rebuild the entire feature tree, so if what you have in your sketch is problematic it will throw off errors, but in your case the feature is at the end and it throws errors on features before bo...
