SW 2022 SP4 EV - first thoughts

I have just downloaded and tested the mirroring function.
I can confirm that the first testing's of this have finally worked.
I will do more testing, but so far so good on the mirroring bug being resolved.

You sure you need to CNC cut it?
How many are you making?
Needs to be CNC'd on the end of a pin, and the threads need to be longer.
GM is sending us CAD for it. yay !

Yes .. there is a self tapping screw version of this as well.
the bolts are similar, but they aren't tapered like the screw, and they don't have the cutting tip on the end.

GM uses a custom bolt.

Would anyone happen to have a CAD file with this thread actually modeled?
the CAD we get from GM doesnt show the thread.

Is it actually the numbers that are causing the issue or is it the number of empty spaces in the file name? That's something to look at as well. You also have a special character in your file name. I would not advise making the move to 2022 SP3.1
Way too buggy and no end of that in sight.

2021 SP5.1 worked good for us, although I know others did have issues (i think mostly with PDM which we dont use)

We have software that translates any of our customers data to any format of our choosing. At this point .. I would rather just pay for the upgrades for that, so it will always read and translate the customers data for us, and not bother to upgrade "Solid doesn't works". stick with the anim...

I had another play around with Pack and Go. It seems that there is a bug so you have to apply a suffix. By doing so, I seem to have no issue with P&G. I keep my working files with no suffix now and any P&G backup gets its own suffix. That work around seems to be working here for me as well....

We have also found a new issue.

When you make a part independent and then rename the part, it automatically makes it a read only file.

then you have open it, and save it and now its not read only.

LMFAO! this is just insane.

Having it promoted will have the assembly not show in your BOM, but the parts inside it will. Wouldn't that solve your issue? :P Well yes .. of course it would ... which solves that issue. Im fine with sub assemblies really .. in these cases however, it just messes with how items appear in our BOM's.

Honestly .. the only 2 things that are problems for us in this version are the mirroring, and the packandgo. packandgo is workable. it takes extra time, but we can manage until a patch resolved that issue. The mirroring on the other hand .. any work around that we have tried is just not ridiculously...
