That seems to be the consensus...model everything as if 1mm was 1m and scale it up in the drawing by 1000x to export as a .dxf. This way I could have a consistent coordinate system over the 10km and not piece it all together...with new survey data it would be extremely challenging to keep 100% accur...

Or you can model everything in cm or mm and write in a drawing that all dimensions are in meters. Been using Solidworks since 2004, and have never come across a situation where I need to extrude something this long.

Is there a way to get around the 500m limit for extruding, sketching, etc???

I'm using Solidworks Premium 2018 SP5
