SolidWorks Feature Propertymanager doesn't reset
Folks, Were are on SW2022, seems that every time we create a feature, i.e. fillet, the settings that are chosen stick for each new created feature of that type until you change it again, even after reboot. for example, if we pic a face fillet, close the fillet command allowing it to take affect. The...

Display of failed features in an assembly when selecting a part
Folks, We are currently using SW2022 SP5, and have started noticing that if you select a part that has rebuild errors while in an assembly, there is a drop down showing them. Doesn't matter if you pick in the feature manager or select the part within the assembly, see snapshot below. I have not been...

Re: Turn off bounding box preview of parts in assemblies
Folks,
Still have not found a way to turn this off, odd that it is only on certain files, and no document settings i can see to change for those particular assembly items...
Any other thoughts before I contact support?

Re: Turn off bounding box preview of parts in assemblies
So yes, I do have the "Enhanced Graphics" junk turned off, however, please note this does NOT happen to all parts/assemblies, currently only seeing this behavior in one set of assembly and part files, on top of that, there are 2 sub-assemblies that do not have this behavior even if opened ...

Re: Turn off bounding box preview of parts in assemblies
Thanks Alex, but not that setting, in a nutshell here is what is happening, in an assembly, as we highlight features in the feature manager, the highlight bound box shows, but when we select a part or sub-assembly the bounding box does not go away...Also, I can open a couple subassemblies and this w...

Folks,
I have a user that wants to turn off the bounding box preview when you hover over a part in the feature manager in the assembly since it already highlights the part...i cannot find a way to turn this off,

Thanks,
Brian

Record Screen Capture doesn't show all options
SolidWorks 2020, when users here try to run the Video Screen capture the lower button selections do not show up, has anyone experienced the same? We cannot scroll down the window in any way: See the attached image
Thanks,
Brian

Re: Saving and closing SolidWorks suppresses new and last changed features
Hey Mark, Thanks for the feedback, I saw you posted on this a long time ago on the old forum, appreciate the input. Again, the oddest part is that if I open the parts that do this, unsupress them and save, close again and reopen all is well for a time....eventually it may come back, but not always o...

Part location Building Practices
Folks, I know there will be differing opinions, which I will keep mine to myself for the time being :D , When your engineers are designing parts, do they build in relation to 0,0,0 of the world, OR...do they build based on location in an assembly, so that 0,0,0 of every part in the assembly are at t...

Re: Saving and closing SolidWorks suppresses new and last changed features
Dassault dig into it, but never found an answer and said we should just rebuild files, yeh, know that already, but, what is causing it. i have been going back and forth with Dassault and also VAR for better part of 10 years as this happens off and on. Templates are new , it is odd, and will be talki...

Re: Saving and closing SolidWorks suppresses new and last changed features
Will check, but doubtful, it isn't all at the end of the file or rollback, there could be multiple (10-20-30....) active features in between the ones that are "autosuppressed" ...... maybe it's a command they never told us about :O

Re: Saving and closing SolidWorks suppresses new and last changed features
So as far as PDM, that isn't the issue, good thought but no, this has been happening many years even if we turned off WorkGroup, or currently log out of PDM.
Fredrick, no configs created but again, a good thought.....

Saving and closing SolidWorks suppresses new and last changed features
Folks, This has been happening for MANY years and versions of SolidWorks, but have never found a root cause as it isn't all of any user/project/folder files, and have worked with Dassault and they have not found the issue resolution so thought I would give it the old heave-ho to see if any of you fo...

Drag and Drop in feature manager hoses SW
SW2020 SP5 I have several users that are reporting that if they try and drag features in the FM SolidWorks hangs up. Curious if anyone has seen this happen. They always have to kill SW and restart to continue. Seems to be happening mostly on laptops like the HP Studio X360, but hard to say if it onl...
