Re: Perferated Sheet-How To

We deal with perforated sheet metal on a daily basis, and yes this can be an issue if you truly need to extrude each individual hole. As MJuric had mentioned we typically show a small portion of the perforation pattern in each corner, eliminating the stress on computing resources. We perforate in-ho...

Yep, that's on purpose. The stores are designed to force the customer to traverse as much of the store as possible with the idea that the more you walk the more you look at the more you'll buy. They also dribble the same product throughout the entire floor/store. So instead of having all the glasse...

I've had this happen to me in the past, and yes it is random. As to why this happens, I can't say. The only workaround that I was able to come up with at the time was to forgo the gauge table and enter the k-factor. I'm running 2020 SP5.

If you are looking to insert the bounding box properties of a sheet metal flat pattern (width, length, volume of bounding box...) into a title block, you can easily do that. From the 'Insert' menu, click on 'Reference Geometry' and then on 'Bounding Box', this will insert a bounding box feature into...

I would draw the part (sheet-metal) in its flattened state. I would imagine that the wings would be formed (forming tool) while in this state anyway. Also, it would difficult to roll from the part without crushing the wings. I guess if it is thin material, roll-forming wouldn't be necessary.
