Re: Background colour

@philem By default, the delivered templates are here for 2024 and the ones you use are in the subfolder for the Standard you selected on install ("ANSI Inch" as an example): C:\Program Files\Siemens\Solid Edge 2024\Template You have the option in the SE Options/File Locations to specify a...

Re: Background colour

Open your templates used to start new files, and set it there. As @AlexLachance mentioned, the Gradient Background setting is a "per file" setting while the Solid Background setting is a global setting. Doesn't make a lot of sense but I think the original intent of the Gradient Background...

Background colour

Hi guys, just a quick one.

I am going through some exercises, I have set the background to a gradient colour, but, when I start a new document, the background is all white again.
How do I get it to stay in the gradient ccolour ?

Thanks in advance

If I log out of the page and relog back in, it still makes no difference. Anyway thanks again. UPDATE, I went to the download...

Re: hole displays inches not mm

Sorry, I was being thick... In the hole dialog, the units change based on the Hole Standard specified. If you specify ANSI Inch, the dialog is in inches, specify ANSI Metric the dialog is in mm. Has nothing to do with Units or Dimension Format. The Units are set in the Hole DB (Excel) for each Stan...

Re: hole displays inches not mm

The File Units controls all dialog units. If you have Dimensions placed, they are controlled via the Dimension Format specified and can be set different. Hi KennyG, sorry for being thick, I checked the options, all is st to metric, I don't know how to get the hole dialogue box to show metric dimens...

I am having a few troubles with holes,
one of them is: I have the units set to Metric, when I put hole in the part and want to edit the hole the options box shows the dimensions in Inches,

1/ Why is that ? and
2/ How would I change it to show metric ?

Thanks in advance
