Forming a Solid from 2 Surfaces?
Hi,
I am making a busbar and want to put the insulation on it and I took and offset the surface by 0 for the inner surface and with 1 surface and by 1.0 for the outside surface, how do I form a solid with these 2 surfaces or is there a better way?
Regards,
Jim

Re: Editing Part Sketch, file rolls back past Sketch?
Hi all,
well it happened again the red line indicates the sketch (147) I am in and the orange was where I had the part rolled back to before I went to drag a center point with detach with drag on and the sketch 10 was shown so I will play how this happens?
Regards,
Jim

Re: Editing Part Sketch, file rolls back past Sketch?
Hi again, I really can't post a screen shot, but to say your editing step 15 and suddenly the rollback goes all the way up to 3 so any feature between the 3-15 are gone, yet somehow I am still editing 15 and if you are trying to reference a feature lets say step 5 it no longer exists so I rebuild an...

Re: Solidworks Explorer - Does anyone really miss it?
Hi, Still on 2019, but curious, can you rename files in explorer as that was the only function I used that was part of Solidworks explorer, been a long while since I used that directly image.png Also do you still have the option of changing a reference on a drawing or assembly image.png Regards, Jim

Re: Importing Solid Edge step file into Solidworks
Hi, I believe what a few have said is to have the person exporting from Solid Edge to save it as a Parasolid or ".XT" file type which is the native kernal for Solidworks and UG. Less translation errors should occur. Going to open the file in Solidworks use the toggle as it might be set at ...

Re: GDI's Creeping up working Remotely?

Ring Segment Snap Features
Hi, I am currently modeling a few different snap features to retain a cover to a plate and circuit card between the 2 and having trouble visualizing what the snap looks like or how I would model it in the collapsed condition: image.png you can see it doesn't look right maybe I need to use splines? I...

Also some of the google links to the old forum send you to a visual basic page, so now google is useless resource, although you can see old post...
