Well I think it really depends on what type of business you are. Quite simply if you are a large business run over multiple sites where many CAD users are working together it would make sense to use the cloud version. For the rest of us it really isn't that important and of little use.

You can get a good deal on the nVidia RTX A4000 card at the moment as the new version has been rolled out. Plenty of 'open box' on the market. I have never seen this on any version, I tend not to save out bodies from split but on some occasions do.

Work generally gets in the way of reporting. Just to update all, we've had a very successful upgrade to 2024 SP 4.0 actually across a great many workstations and laptops. Any type of save body from the original file still has the appearance bug. The new part that is created, if you apply a colour to that part, under certain circumstance it will then lose that appearance on rebuilds. I bet there is a load of makers licenses out there being used for commercial work. Big deal you can only import or export dumb files like Step/Parasolid, for loads of people that would be enough.

Have both versions on the computer. That will give you the option to save 2024 files as 2023 files if you end up with issues on the sp1 on 2024.

Cost is such a big issue, cloud often ends up being a more expensive option with all things considered.

BTW, I wonder,.. in a Drawing view, does anyone know a way to save the "Draft Analysis" colors? As a Display State maybe or a Config? Are you talking about actual model view of draft analysis? If you are there will be no way to do it, you can't even save as JPG in the 3D model environment...
