Jogging is an option. But why not just drag the dimension arrowhead to the radius on the right side of the part where it looks like you have more space?

We haven't been moved to 3DSWYM for support. From what I can tell, the transfer is happening for non US customers first. We haven't even received notification of the switchover.

Date Validation in PDM

Before I go to the trouble of writing an add-in, I just want to check that I'm not missing something. I have a data card with a 'Need Date' field on it. I need to verify that the need date is not in the past before allowing a transition to take place. I don't see a way to do this out of the box.

Rather than create a sketch, you can create a small circular planar surface in the model. It won't show up in the drawing, but it will prevent the dimensions from disappearing when you hide the sketch. As an added bonus, you can hatch the surface to make it look like an actual point:

There does not seem to be a 2022 hotfix to address this issue. There are only 3 general hotfixes listed for SW2022 and none of them are for this issue. If it is a special hotfix, you may have to contact your VAR.

The SPR states that the problem is fixed in SW2023 SP1.

Rather than closing Excel each time, perhaps you can use GetObject first (to attach to an existing Excel instance if it exists) and if it fails, then call CreateObject. See this link for details.
