I would open the subassembly, and there was nothing wrong. Except, you weren't opening it to the secret flexible configuration. Are your fasteners using configurations? If not, I'd remove the equations. The McMaster parts never have configs. I always delete the equations. I replied to the SWYMP post. You can link the cosmetic thread depth to a global variable with no issues in 2021 SP4. So, somewhere between 2018 SP5 and 2021 SP4 the problem was fixed it seems.

That's interesting, we were told that renaming is a thing of the past once PDM is used. That renaming files for the sake of file life cycle was the old way and not needed in PDM. It's not uncommon for stuff to show up in intellisense that's isn't supposed to be visible. It's usually a good idea to never try to use something that isn't in the API docs. No telling what might happen.
