As for the tabs showing up in the file properties, it is entirely possible that AutoCad is contributing those tabs and PDM is completely unaware of them.

We took a leap of faith as we were starting out in SW and went down the path of using configurations for our hardware part numbers. At this time our SCREW.SLDPRT file has over 300 part numbers and close to 500 where used files. We're starting to run into some issues and getting the old familiar fee...

Try excluding all but one body from the analysis and then mesh. Add bodies back a few at a time until the mesh fails. This may help you figure out what geometry is causing the problem.

Your macro is named differently so the namespace is messing things up. Just create a new macro and paste the code from my Main() method into your Main() method instead of cut and pasting the entire thing.

If the taper angles are identical, you can just use a single coincident mate between the circular edge at either end of the taper of one part and the conical face of the other part. SOLIDWORKS will work out where the two entities meet, even if it is outside the part boundaries:
