SW 18 was crashing only when i was "forcing it"
It was fast and stable

SW21 has some new features which are very usable to me, but it is really slow (opening times especially) and a lot of crashes as well :(

I had same problem as you , and i use insert bends as well
It works nicely and it keeps all part geometry.

Have the files been saved in the latest version of SolidWorks? I know that can affect open times and it gets worse with large assemblies. PDM systems complicates this ability to update the files though. Some have tools to do and some don't. Pro.file is a new one to me. Why do PLM companies make it ...

We use separate parts for all components because of ERP system.
So for example we will have separate parts for bolts which are same size (but one of them is galvanised steel , other one is not etc... )

Maybe i did not understand you well , but i am not sure why do you need macro.
If the view is highlighted when you drop the note then it will be attached to the view
You can also right click on the note and click "attachment" and then do "attach to view" to link it to a view

This is my workflow currently . It does the job , but i wanted to make it even more easier.

Don't be afraid to start outside of typical sheet-metal modelling. Some shapes work much better in "normal" modelling and converted at a later point. Z-bend brackets are a good example. Also anything complex that would be better with a layout sketch. Do tell, why would a Z bracket be bett...

@Glenn Schroeder you gave me great idea for furniture design ( Wardrobes, beds, closets...) - a lot of "plates"
I am doing this in my free time , and i managed to do this with weldments. Just click where the line is , instead of multiple sketches and boss extrudes :D

So much easier!

To be honest, there is no point in using HW if the part will be laser cut and you don't need to mate a bunch of fasteners. I just use Cut-Extrude or put holes in the Base-Flange feature.
For holes yes maybe, but we have a lot of parts which have threads , slots etc.. And HW is great for that.

It really depends how your model looks.
For me starting with "regular" features and then converting it to SM would be nightmare although i have cases where i use that workflow also

I wont write stuff that is already written here but i use a lot of tips from this thread.
I would like to mention that i really like orienting my view as i want by clicking surface i want to see normal and selecting another surface which will be "up" from previously selected one.

Technically yes. While you are at centerline command, choose Auto insert - select view , and then click at view you want centerline to be inserted.
This sounds funny but i highly recommend to avoid this option , because often it wont work :(
