Re: Update for sheetmetal Macro??
It looks to me like the file browser dialog was causing issues. I found a snippet of code to replace that functionality and it seems to be working. I also added a snippet to activate the document before calling to export it when the user begins the process with an assembly. It was failing when the ...

Update for sheetmetal Macro??
I have recently upgraded to SW2021 and the latest macro for "Export SM Batch - 7.0beta" does not work for us anymore. Can we get this macro updated for a more recent Solidworks release? I apparently cannot post the macro attachment for some reason on the solidworks forums so I figured ther...

I thought I would post this up here for a good reference if anyone wants to read it. I got to say about 10 years ago, my VAR CATI did a test based on certain computer specs and the differences it makes by certain components being upgraded. I know it is a bit outdated, but some good insight. Does any...

Re: Sheet Metal Flat Pattern Boundry for all configs?
I'm assuming you'd want each of these properties to update dynamically as well? I know that manually doing this 200 times is tedious, but you could just create a new custom property and link it to: "SW-Bounding Box Width@@@ Cut-List-ItemX @ PartX .SLDPRT" I was looking into this "@@@...

Sheet Metal Flat Pattern Boundry for all configs?
I have recently been creating a single file of about 200+ configurations of a sheet metal part. My company plans to upgrade to solidworks 2020 in a month or two and am trying to get ahead on figuring this out. I need to include the blank size of my part in a custom property. There are two givens for...

Re: looking for advice on an LGA 1700 workstation build
Solidworks doesn't require an extreme hardware build unless you are constantly having 200 parts or more in a single assembly. otherwise its an overkill of a build. You could spend $1000-$1200 on a decent computer that would last you ~10 years. There are specific graphics cards that solidworks certif...

Is there any use for master modeling in PDM? I can not see it. Like Jason said above, Master modeling has nothing to do with PDM. I have used both techniques and saved them in PDM. Its all about what best fits your workflow. as for save bodies, check this out: https://blogs.solidworks.com/tech/2017...

I am currently on 2017 and it seems that I am not able to do that.
