As for my original query, I've had some luck with the ScanTo3D Mesh Prep Wizard now which has done some sort of magic to remove the error from the tree so I might be able to cobble along for now.

ICYMI, you can now sort the community feeds on 3DSwym by "latest activity", i.e. topics most recently posted to will bubble to the top. They haven't made it the default view but this makes it a slightly less unbearable place to navigate and able to keep popular topics more visible. image.p...

There has always been a lot of hostile feedback, but lately, this looks different. There is a growing focus from customers on the bigger business direction, less on the product details. This signals a change, but is it a change in the customers, DS, or both? I don't imagine anyone sees this as good...

Have been banging that drum in the user feedback sessions since I joined them. "Simplify simplify simplify" is the general mantra, and whenever they start talking about adding new bells and whistles remind them that that means someone isn't working on fixing the basics.

It seem that EAA no longer offer SOLIDWORKS Edu Premium... They had now change to 3DExperience Maker which require user to fork out another $50/yr.... image.png Your thoughts on this? I always contact my VAR as apart from anything else I can always share the relevant files with them, which isn't necessarily the case with the forum / Swym. However I'm fortunate that I have an excellent VAR that rarely fail to deliver a solution.
