Re: 2022 sheetmetal bend lines in flat pattern dxf
Hrmm. I am not having the same issue. They do show up for me.
I am not sure what is going on.
I played with a few settings, including hiding the bend line sketch that is under the flat pattern folder in the tree, but it still showed the bend lines in the DXF when I checked it.

This is same with 2019SP4. Docking the Feature(Property) Manager will cause it to grow throughout the session. I vaguely recall some discussions on the old forum about it being a bug. Have been on SW 2022 (SP4) for about a month now. About the only issues that I am experiencing are new horrible behavior of the Datums attaching to GD&T Frames in drawings. Also (and this is not SW 2022 specific....I came from SW 2018, so it is new for me), I am finding out that the new coordina...

Re: Custom thread design - need assistance
Maybe the biggest cause of bloat in McMaster Carr models is the display properties are maxed out, and the last little bit greatly increases file size. For fasteners, suppress the helix, reduce the image quality (I have a macro for this), and the file size is normal. There are also some legacy desig...

Re: Custom thread design - need assistance
For the case above. Makes complete sense. Files sizes might be the same, but the CPU load is not. Far different. Load up an assembly with a couple of hundred nuts and bolts with threads. Might be a good opportunity to take lunch. McMaster-Carr is the worst for this. Every fastener you download from...

Save the part out as a Parasolid (x_t), and then import it back in. Parasolid is the native kernel of Solidworks, so you are literally stripping everything away except the geometry.
Try that and see what you get.

For a part or assembly that you have open, do this:
Tap R to bring up recent documents Then select "show in folder" for that document. It won't work for components of assemblies unless you open them separately.

Position the sub assembly as needed in the upper level assembly.
Then edit the sub assembly in the context of the main assembly.
Add the mates inside the sub assembly
Now your sub assembly is in the position you want.
