I played with a few settings, including hiding the bend line sketch that is under the flat pattern folder in the tree, but it still showed the bend lines in the DXF when I checked it.

Save the part out as a Parasolid (x_t), and then import it back in. Parasolid is the native kernel of Solidworks, so you are literally stripping everything away except the geometry.

Try that and see what you get.

For a part or assembly that you have open, do this:
Tap R to bring up recent documents

Then select "show in folder" for that document.

It won't work for components of assemblies unless you open them separately.

Once upon a time blanks were allowed in Design Tables for Part numbers. Evidently, now they aren't. Dunno when this happened. I've got a fastener library that was created WAY BACK WHEN which has blanks in the Part Numbers. If I make the mistake of editing the design table, SWX reassigns this to $C....

Position the sub assembly as needed in the upper level assembly.

Then edit the sub assembly in the context of the main assembly.

Add the mates inside the sub assembly

Now your sub assembly is in the position you want.

Yeah, be careful with those settings. You then get users screaming that the software sucks because the new version has mate errors that weren't there before.
