I guess this is what I'm questioning. When I read that blog I read very little "We heard your concerns and are going to change it to the way you want it". What I did hear was "We here you complaining and we are going to make vague statements like "You're important" and &quo...

I'm looking into how to do this. I don't use the ERP system all that much over the last two years in Engineering but in my new position I've had need of it more and more so I'll see if I can figure it out. Thanks all for the input. Re: Cross comparing BOMs
Hey Matt, Have you tried detailed BOM's? We use these to export from SolidWorks to our ERP. You could create an assembly with the desired number of sub-assemblies inside it and then have an detailed BOM generated from this assembly to show the detailed listing of the assembly, sub assemblies and par...

I wonder how SWYM will look like late April or so.. Right now they are lucky to get 3 posts per day and it doesn't take long for a post to get buried. Make sure to understand line directions if you use sketch entities. It is an important part of it IMO. A line drawn from bottom to top is not the same as a line drawn from top to bottom, even if they have the same length and are parallel. Thin extrusions is an example of how it differs. One will gen...

We use a NAS and it works fine.
Recommandation is taking a deep look at how you work and then projecting how long it could take to fill up whatever size you're looking at, and then see if the time frame is appropriate for you.

Hey Jaylin,
Do you use external references? Have you tried locking them prior to doing the move?
Maybe something is linked to whatever it is you are moving, and after moving it the external reference keeps on rebuilding which is what makes you freeze?
Just a guess!
