How to hide Flip Mate Alignment icons?
How to hide Flip Mate Alignment icons?
Since updating to SP3 (2021), after using quick mate, Flip mate Alignment icons remains on screen. At times, I have 10 or more of them on screen.
They used to disappear as soon as I started another mate.
At present the only work around is to exit Solidworks OR wait for 10 to 15 minutes. Then they gradually disappear one by one.
Never had this problem before.
Graphic card's driver is up-to-date. (Quadro P2000)
Is there anyway to make them disappear?
Thank you.

Turning this off may do the trick. Don't ask why, it just does.
Options>System Options>Performance
If you want to disable the Flip Alignment icons, go to Options>Customize>Context Toolbar

That's been happening to me for several years. The only way I've found to avoid it is to accept the mate by clicking on the green check mark in the Quick Mates toolbar instead of right-clicking.
@mike miller,
I do have that option turned off, and pretty much always have. It it works for you that's great, but it doesn't for me.

I had Enhanced graphic...... option ticked. I unticked it to see if it helps. Will report later.mike miller wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 8:04 pm Turning this off may do the trick. Don't ask why, it just does.

In case of your second suggestion, I need Solidworks to show the icons because I use them frequently.
I just need them to disappear once the job is done.
Thanks for your help.

Seems that unticking Enhanced graphic...... prevents the icons to stay on-screen (at least for me).
But I feel a significant drop in performance of 3DConnexion's zoom and pan.
It's really hard to decide which one to choose.
But at least I know the solution now.
Million thanks.

I'm surprised to hear that. It doesn't have any effect on mine that I can tell, and I don't remember anyone at the old forum ever reporting that issue either.Tera wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 12:30 am @mike miller

Same here. The only difference I noticed was line quality in drawings. And as long as it prints nicely I really don't care.Glenn Schroeder wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 7:13 amI'm surprised to hear that. They disappear for me if I hover over them for a second or so.

That problem went away for me when I upgraded to 2020 SP5. It sounds like a regression, if it wasn't a problem with 2021 SP2.
I would reboot and see if that changes anything regarding the space mouse.
