2022 SP.5 - flat pattern - dxf behavior

Can anyone else report this instance on their installation? I've experienced it on several occasions now.

Even simple sheetmetal patterns won't populate the bend line geometry when exporting to dxf..

Wondering if a backported .dll file from 2020 SP.5 would be something I could request my VAR to install on my machine.

Thanks.

Btw - trying another option like 'annotation views' and checking "current" does not change the result. I haven't been able to get the lines to populate under any circumstance thus far.

Okay..

So using some advice from a thread I found on 3dswym.. I tried these options:

Which displays the lines again...

Im only puzzled because I've never needed that option before. I can only assume something is missing in the registry or something similar, causing this to occur..

Anyway.. Maybe it will help someone out. I may update if I have more issues on other models.

I recalled another recent thread about bend lines in dxf from 2022.

viewtopic.php?p=24905&hilit=dxf#p24905

I don't' know if it's related or not. I was going to suggest using map file to make sure the bend lines are on a layer and that layer is on in whatever software is opening/reading the dxf, but the OP had a solution before I got around to it.

I don't recall the details that started it but when we started with SW I ended up making our own map file and always using that. Removes some variables, I think.

I don't have any trouble with bend lines:

Can you upload a simple file?

Seems to be the same thing - corrected within the registry. Might have to try that.

Yep, no problem. Attached.

Thanks guys.

I recently went thru exactly the same issue.
My update to 2022 SP5.0 damged my DXF bendline output too.
I actually did the exact same thing you've shown here.
Although, I saw this method some years ago when an older version failed the bend line output but this did not fix that then.
But I tried it this time anyway and it worked first time.
So..., Yay.

Previously I only lost bend lines on an older version after installing a newer version. The only way back after that was a complete reinstal.
I am very glad method you posted this worked this time.

Glad it helped you out, I'm sure you had the same expression on your face that I did when they didn't appear after the 2022 installation.

I'll check back in a couple weeks as I'm getting an all new work station. I'm curious to see if this behavior continues with a fresh registry and install.
