mate primitives

hi

i am trying to understand mate primitives to create two revoulte joint , but could not manage to create joints . i am getting only cylindrical joint

any advice please thank you

I had gotten rather rusty with motion analysis... but have you tried replacing the mates with hinge mate instead?

motion analysis is very complicated specially dealing with redundancies , i did two hinge mates but again i am getting one hinge mate redundancies

i had followed your strategy somehow 4 revolute joint , created with two redundancies.please see file

I created 2 additional ref plane for hinge mating on the bse part and remove all the mate and replace them with hinge.
It seems fine for me
