PDM Viewer

Unread post by christian chu »

Just wondering if any1 here is using PDM viewer? What includes in the package and the cost ($995/yr) to own a license
I google and found PDM prof. viewer. Is there one for PDM standard viewer?
By the way, I'm using PDM standard now
Thanks

The same Windows Explorer interface, yes. It's actually the same program. You can toggle a client installation between CAD Editor, Contributor, and Viewer from the PDM administration tool installed on every client machine. You go to Help and "About SolidWorks PDM Administration", change it and restart. You can change it in the registry as well. This setting tells the client which license to grab from the license server.

The viewer license is sold as 5 pack only, whether Pro or standard its the same cost. We have 100 viewer licenses (20 viewer packs) The viewer has the same interface, you just can't checkout any files or add/edit data cards, its greyed out. You can however participate in a workflow and approve/reject documents.

"The same interface" means same VaultView's interface?
