Dan,
You are correct. It was introduced in 2020.

Thanks, @mattpeneguy! I learned something extremely valuable from you today! This can be nicely incorporated in a company’s modeling procedure.

Wow! I thought you knew about it...Seems like functionality that you would have been involved in.

It was another bit that Nick Burkett-Smith worked on, IIRC...If I'm not mistaken, he worked with Grant Mattis on it. Grant's in Canada, so naturally I thought you were involved, seeing as Canada is so small...

That's interesting. They changed the setting. In 2019 the verbage is "Do not create references external to the model" which we keep checked at all times. I'll have to make sure to catch this setting when we update to new version. I suppose it's defaulted to allow external references?

Yes it's different in 2020, this was specifically added for top down design, I believe.
Here's a link to the thread I created over at the platform: https://r1132100503382-eu1-3dswym.3dexp ... tRKQCeLOhg
Unfortunately, it looks like they messed it up. There's posts in that thread from some other one about using planes for SSP.

Oh, the whole thread was migrated from the real forum, guessing from the datestamps.

I'll try not to derail the excitement in this thread any further. I'm happy for you top-downers. ;)
