Not able to add new features and sketches

I want to add a new sketch and hole features in this file. But I am not able to do this. I cannot add or edit sketches. How can I fix it.

What if you use "make a reference sketch"?

That's kind of odd, I've seen this before but generally a restart fixes it.

Edit: Maybe a pop-up window somewhere...? Alt+Tab to see maybe

You are inside some command. Either you have a window that is off screen, or on the top right of the screen will be some sort of exit button.

I've seen that when the custom properties window or something similar is open and minimized/behind another window.

In my case, if the custom properties window is minimized when you closed it last, when you open it again, it's minimized again but locks the user interface like you're seeing.

Is the file from an educational version of SolidWorks and you are on commercial?
