Sigh

So,

Thought I would update from 2022 SP3.1 to SP 5.0.

At the end of the update process I get this:

It continued on to activation and then I get this:

Doing a repair I get this:

I've created an administrative install dohicky.

Same thing.

Awesomeness!

Personally, start clean, fully uninstall and reinstall. The update process is not worth fightiing through.
Find the full SP05 and enjoy. (both goengineer and hawkridge have the full versions for download)

Thanks.

Do I need to deactivate the existing version?

Try not to skip SP. Update all SP in sequence.
Or download full install.
I didn't deactivate. I had 4 versions SW running at the same time.
