Hello
Long time no see!
So I have a question about mating and simulation:
I want to make an assembly with a car body, four wheels, four jack points and a jack:
It will be a:
- one really simple car body made of one solid
- four wheels made of one solid that i copy to four places in the assembly
- four jack points made of one solid that i copy to four places in the assembly
- one jack sub assembly
I want to simulate the car being jacked up by the jack sub assembly inserted into one jack point.
So my plan would be:
- to first insert the wheels into the assembly, copy them to four places and make them fixed(I will not jack the wheels off the ground, just the car body)
- then insert the main car body and mate it to one wheel in the x direction and let it float in the Z and y direction
- insert the jack points and mate them to the car body
- insert the jack sub assembly and mate it to one jack point
I guess it would be easy to lift the car this way if I look at the car as one stiff element that rise evenly at all four jack points, but we know that this is not the case.
So how do I mate in the assembly to simulate that one corner get raised and that the car tips over to the non jaced side?
