With all the push on the pLaTfOrM going on I have lost the count on all the offers DS calls "Solidworks" even if if the 3d engine is different and the data needs conversion to be opened with the on premise versions.
With PDM full of bugs and the feeling of a unfinished product they bought from conisio (same feeling for routing, or simulation and some other minor packages) the hopes to see a usuable product in the near future is evaporated.
Back to the topic how many offers are called Solidworks and what is making them so relevant?
How many versions of solidworks are available?

Atleast 3: Desktop, Connected and Web.
Now add Premium, Pro.
If you want, you can count Maker.

I imagine web = 3d experience solidworks?
all the naming is gettIng me confused as with new subscriptions we are supposed to receive a connector for our desktop solidworks. (which I plan to DISABLE ASAP)
Also DS KB names "CATIA SOLIDWORKS" In many articles tag so I imagine it is the 3d experience (catia based) solidworks...
I do not like when commercial and technical naming mix up. with ds is a tgick smoke screen for everthing everyday.
