I want to make a note, that when attached to an item in an assembly drawing, will give this result:
Qty Custom property 1 Custom property 2
For Example:
3X MCMASTER 90128A266
I can easily make a note with the custom properties, but can't figure out how to add a QTY to the note.
I was able to do this with a Balloon, but has undesirable traits.
Thank you for any help you may give me,
Dan B.

I am not sure that you can do it with a note (I cannot figure out quantity in a note without linking the note to a balloon). But you can do it with stacked balloons (might need to format them)

OK, you can also link a note to a table cell.
Just select the "Link Table Cell" button and select the table cells that you want linked to it.

Re: How To Add QTY to a Note? Is it Possible?
Thank you Dan, I had managed to do that, BUT, the note length can't be wrapped/shortened. That was the "undesirable trait" I was speaking about.
I want to make a second note with the full description of the fastener. Without the ability to "wrap" the text, I won't be able to fit the notes on the dwg...
see attached image.
Thanks,
Dan B.

Well, you can wrap the note, you just cannot wrap it inside the context of the link.DanBovinich wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 3:49 pm Thank you Dan, I had managed to do that, BUT, the note length can't be wrapped/shortened. That was the "undesirable trait" I was speaking about.

So you can wrap between 3 links, but if 1 link is really long, then it will take up 1 line and cannot be wrapped. Which is probably what you are referring to.

Hence, why I wanted to use the annotation route.... (that has the ability to wrap the long description)
We can always hope SW 2026 makes a fix for this....
