CAD Usability Research Study $100

Unread post by sjunsjunsjun »

I’m recruiting SolidWorks users to participate in a usability research study to understand how people use CAD software. We’re interested in talking to people with experience in SolidWorks. We’re offering a $100 honorarium for a one-hour interactive remote session.

For more details, here’s the link to our posting on User Interviews: https://www.userinterviews.com/projects ... Z_bA/apply

You might want to explain who you are associated with, and the purpose of the interviews. People are sometimes cautious about clicking links that new users post.

Thanks for the suggestion Matt!

I work at projekt202, a consulting firm in Dallas. We help companies shape the design and development of software experiences. You can check us out at projekt202.com.

The purpose of the interview is to understand how SolidWorks users transition to a different CAD software (the one we're studying) and how they feel using the user interface, tools, to build out parts/create a model. We're looking to understand the pain points associated with the software so that we can help improve the product and ultimately bring in more users.

Do we get to pick a time to participate or is one assigned to us? In other words I'd do it based on my schedule but not on yours :)

If I had a webcam I'd be interested.

If you goto the User Interviews link above, there's a participant screener which helps us understand your years of experience etc., to make sure you're a good fit for the research target. Once complete, we'll provide you with a schedule of open slots and you're welcome to pick one at a time that's of convenience to you. If those slots don't work out, we can also adjust to accommodate. Thanks!

Oh, this is right up someone here's alley. Maybe they'll shave your head and put electrodes on. I know some of you guys will be up for that!

Hey, what happened? Everybody's gone! Sure, someone strolls in here handing out $100 bills, and everybody leaves. UU
I see what kind of crowd we're working with here. ()

Me too. If someone wants to give me $100 gift card for talking and playing with a CAD system for an hour while sitting in the comfort of my home...I'm in.

Good lord I am getting old. I just signed up and I can't remember. I think Siemens Solid edge. They asked how long you have been using SW and then have you ever used "X" and I can't remember what "X" is. I just know my answer was no o[

My biggest pain point is convincing my muscle memory that the new interface is better.
