In this YouTube tutorial, it says about Intel Graphics Driver Update.

I never did this. Are you familiar with this?

There are two types of graphic card (GC) in a computer. One is embedded GC, that comes with a computer. Other one is added GC. Like your quadro graphics card. Which GC YouTube is talking about.

Hi Maha,.. it depends if you are using both together, that is, a mix of the intel and nvidia? (not uncommon)
But, if you are not experiencing any issues, there is no need to update.
If you want to play/test,.. be prepared to reinstall your old driver if something goes wrong.

Anyhow, many users don't know they have two gpu's,.. and Microsoft has been aggressively pushing Windows 10 updates so, I'm not surprised something gets broken.. but it usually gets fixed pretty fast.

If both together, is it improve graphic performance? Did you try it? I did have any issues but if I can improve graphic performance it is good to try.

If YouTube is talking about updating embedded GC, it is questionable. Because I get frequent, automatic Windows 10 update. I assume embedded GC also gets update concurrently with Windows 10 update.

I get email notification about new driver for add-in GC.

The windows updates can change or mess up your settings from time to time... so, you have to re-check that the nvidia GPU is set at "High-performance nvidia processor"
You'd have to test if the new intel drive gives you any added benefits like using other basic programming or for power/battery savings or startup times?
Anyhow, most dual GPU notebooks have both On as standard,.. the intel is generally a low power and generic demand gpu = most users.
But you're interested in using your GPU for SolidWorks... and you are most likely setting the demand for the nvidia GPU, the intel gpu is not giving you many benefits.

Desktop usually won't have build in graphic. Unless you buy a very low end economic one.
Laptop could have both, Intel and addin video.

No, it won't improve performance. Program can only use one, not both.
Most using laptop with Intel will disable Intel on BIOS because it cause problem. SW don't know which graphic card to use.

Now I have confusion over what is built-in & add-in

If an item can be separated from a computer that is add-in

If an item cannot be separated from a computer that is built-in

Is this what you mean?

Yes, I'm using an external video card instead of using intel. Quadro and others. :)

If you need to update any Intel driver, use this: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/

Even with my AMD CPU, I still got Intel network driver.

Isn't a better description "on-board", indicating graphic processing parts are placed on the mother-board (main board)? As is the case with on-board sound etc? =)

Whatever come with motherboard is built-in.
Anything you can remove or plug on to the motherboard is add-in.

The word "integrated" usually mean built-in.

I am not familiar with these but I watched a YouTube video, in that demonstration SWX took longer time to produce result, demonstrator told if you had 2 or 3 GC's you can reduce the time taken to produce the result.

2 or 3 of the same GC, SLi for nVidia. Not 2 or 3 different manufacturer GPU.
And I kind of doubt what you do require that much GPU power.
You'll need that if you do lots of rendering.
