Projected drawing view are not aligned

Unread post by rosenrob »

As the title kind of mentions, I'm having a strange issue with my drawings on a particular assembly. When I add a projected view it ends up being offset from the parent view. I'll attach a screenshot to show what I mean.

All the views in that screenshot are projected off of the front view in the center. You can see the two side views end up higher up, and the top view shifted over to the left. They still behave like they are aligned, like I can drag them and they can only move left-right or up-down but they are clearly offset. I've tried creating a new drawing and that didn't make any difference.

Has anyone else run into this before? Thanks!

This has happened to me before.

Sometimes things get a little screwed up. But it is an easy fix.

RMB on the view and select align by origin, instead of align by center.

Specifically, I mean this:

As Dan said, it happens. I've also had good luck with breaking alignment, then re-applying it.

@dpihlaja Do you know if there is a way to make that a default setting on this drawing?

If you use projected views, I think it is default. Also if you have predefined views and in the template, the predefined views are set up aligned by origin, then it is also default.
