Is there anyone followed online eCourse in Surface Modeling offered by MySolidWorks?

My SWX is a standard version. I wish to know whether this is enough for this course.

This is essentially one of the courses I wrote for them back in ~2008-10. Several of the models and simple example files I created specifically for the course, such as the guitar body, the razor handle, the bicycle frame, the decorative finial... And just for reference some of the old surfacing certification questions may or may not have come from this material...

What is your comparison Surface Modeling course offered by MySolidWorks and Dezignstuff?

I had tried a few MySOLIDWORKS ecourse but not the surfacing course
Personally i feel that the training at MySOLIDWORKS is a bit lacking...

Personally i recommend the following:
1. Mastering SOLIDWORKS book by Matt
2. SOLIDPROFESSOR course, require subscription, the good thing is each surfacing function is split in its individual video, if i forget about something about a function and need a quick reference, i will just quickly scan through the video
3. Webcast by SPANNER (https://www.spannerpd.com/webcasts) a real hidden gem

I am familiar with 1 & 3, in addition I am following Dezignstuff episodes. I have to consider SOLIDPROFESSOR course. Expecting more information from you about SOLIDPROFESSOR course.

What is your comparison Surface Modeling course offered by MySolidWorks and Dezignstuff?

Well, I wrote the SW course 10/13 years ago, I forget, and others have maintained it. I wrote the Dezignstuff Surfacing Episode last year or the year before and (partially in thanks to you) have maintained and improved the site since. It's the same as the reseller class, as far as I can see, so it's good quality, but only goes so far.

So I'm kind of biased, I like the Dezignstuff Episodes site better. It is more complete, it goes way deeper into the tools, it talks about "why" (which is the real question after "how"), has bigger and more involved examples, approaches issues from the point of view of an engineer/designer/modeler, talks about strategy and planning, talks about best practice, talks about bugs and stuff that doesn't work like you think it should, and it doesn't make any pretense about trying to be an "educator", I'm trying to show professionals how to use a tool.

Before deciding on a training, you might need to think about what the training is for. Is it for a entirely new user? Or it is for a experienced user?

Take SOLIDPROFESSOR as example, most of the training only cover, how each function/tool in SOLIDWORKS work and is more suitable for a new user.

I will say in general that when I worked for video training people, I made a TON more money and did a TON less work. That was good for me, but for you, you really don't get as much information with a video class as you do with a book. Mastering SolidWorks is ~1200 pages, and it comes with download materials and a bunch of videos (I think about 40 videos). The download is huge with the videos, sample parts, and other data. The course costs whatever it costs, and the book is about $50. The book is a WAY better value (dollars per information).
