Re: SWX and RMB Menu
This seem like something messed up the registry
Have you try to rename the registry?

Far too many items in the world are designed, constructed and foisted upon us with no understanding-or even care-for how we will use them.
Re: SWX and RMB Menu
What version of SolidWorks are you using?
In SW 2019 or earlier, these shell integration options are installed with SolidWorks Explorer option in the Installation Manager
In SW 2020 and later, these shell integration options are installed with the SolidWorks File Utilities option in the Installation Manager
You can check your installation to see if you have the proper option installed to get the RMB context menu options. If they were already installed, you may need to repair the installation to get them working correctly.

Re: SWX and RMB Menu
You should check to make sure that you installed the options required for the shell integration.
For SW 2019 for SW 2020 or later You can modify the SolidWorks installation from Programs and features in the control panel or Apps in settings and verify that these features were installed. If they already show as installed then I would suggest to try repairing your installation.

@ Diaval
My version is a standard one. I have already installed I do not know whether above option is available in standard version.

Re: SWX and RMB Menu
I believe those options are available with Standard version as well. You can run the option to modify the installation without changing anything if you just want to see what has been installed.

Re: SWX and RMB Menu
I saw above type of window during the installation process. Is it possible to get it back after installation?
Re: SWX and RMB Menu
You can get back to that dialog by doing a modification of the installation. If you open the Control Panel on your computer. Go to Programs and Features. Find the SolidWorks installation in the programs list. When you select it you should be given an option to Modify the installation. This will start the Installation manager again and allow you to change your installation options.

I tried this method before but it did not work. I will try this again.
Re: SWX and RMB Menu
If you have your installation media, you can also run the setup.exe from there to modify the installation.

Click "Open with" "Choose another App" "More App" and pick "Solidworks" which has the highest version. Even if you're not using that.
Or pick "Solidworks Launcher"

That cursor with its constantly changing kaleidoscope of colors would drive me straight up the wall.

I've seen worse. Our previous office manager had one that was a horse galloping, and the end of its nose was the pointer. I'd have needed some kind of sedation if I had to watch that constant movement all day long.mike miller wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 11:05 am That cursor with its constantly changing kaleidoscope of colors would drive me straight up the wall.
