In a new paper featured on the cover of Nature, University of Virginia researchers explain why people rarely look at a situation, object or idea that needs improving -- in all kinds of contexts -- and think to remove something as a solution. Instead, we almost always add some element, whether it helps or not.

Because when you take something away, somebody's gonna complain.

Speaking of adding.......I wonder what DS is going to keep adding to 3dswyrm to try and make it better. Maybe they should subtract the platform and start anew.
Interesting article btw.

Universe Splitter, a quantum decision making tool. Hard choice? Do both! Other option applies to new alternate universe. A Photon is shot at a beam splitter, which in quantum math goes to both places, but we only observe it going to one direction. So, in the other universe, the photon went in the other direction. You are told which decision result you will do, and alternate you is told to do the other.

Well, take care of yourself and try not visiting your elders perhaps until it settles down, hope everything remains as is and you and everyone around you don't get infected.
That's about as much as I'll say about the subject, to avoid starting a political debate.

We had the first Moderna injection 12 days ago... my wife had only a few post issues (arm soreness and aches for a couple days),.. I had joint aches for ~7 days and a sore arm with a rash (~75% is gone now)... in 16 days we'll get the 2nd injection. Oh joy.

Just be happy your country follows the guidelines provided by the vaccine manufacturers, unlike Quebec. Government complains that people are saying no to the shot but if the vaccines were at least administered correctly in the correct time frame then perhaps more people would get the shot.
They're even speaking of mixing shots. First shot was Astra, let's go with Moderna for the second. Like seriously, who thinks of this sh*t?

It was for me, and from people I've talked to that's not uncommon, but it's also not a given. After the first one my shoulder was sore the next day, but no big deal. After the second one it hurt pretty bad for about 3 days, to where I hated to have to lift my arm, and I had a mild off-and-on headache for about a week. I know of other people who ran fever and generally felt bad for a day or two after the second one.
My wife, on the other hand, just had a sore shoulder for a day or so after both.
All of us had the Moderna, by the way.

I had Moderna also, first shot in January second early February. First one arm just felt like a tetanus shot, no other issues. Second one seems to affect everyone different, and there doesn't seem to be a common thread. Same feeling in the arm, slight headache and a little achy all over the next day but nothing else.
I was able to get mine due to being a volunteer firefighter, and from talking with the other guys at the firehouse the second dose ran the gamut of no side affects at all to being knocked on your a$$, with chills, fever, headache, you name it. Good news is only lasts about 12 hours, but they all said it hits quick.

I had the J&J single shot on March 6. I was lucky to get it so early. No side effects. My wife had to fight to get her second shot, but we were in the grocery store and they just out of the blue announced that they had one dose left and they were going to throw it away if no one was interested in it.

Get second shot of Moderna tomorrow afternoon.
Been back in the office for just over a year now.
(Only worked from home for a month.)
Lost track of how many people at work have had it.
(I would guess somewhere around 20 people.)
I have managed to stay safe, and continue to take all necessary precautions.

There might be a vaccination clinique done at our shop, depending on how many people are interested in the shot, which I think is a great idea.

Lady I work with came in a week ago last Tuesday. Thought she was having allergy issues as it's allergy season and she gets them very bad every year. She was worse on Wednesday and didn't come in on Thursday. Found out she had covid on Friday. Went to the hospital the following Tuesday and was put on a ventilator last Thursday, so essentially a week. Not great health, but in her mid 50's, fairly active etc.
I got the J&J shot the day before Good Friday. About noon on Friday I started getting mild aches and chills but that was about it. Gave me an excuse to laze out on the couch all day :-) Arm was sore for probably a week though.
