I have nothing to lose. SWX cannot rescind my subscription to SWX. They cannot ban me from cadforum.net. They can ban me from the 3DSwamp, but I hardly even go there so that wouldn't be a loss either. I guess they could ban me from this forum and I would miss out on the next two weeks. Now THAT would hurt! />sarcasm=off

I believe the following to be true:
1. The new 3DSwamp forum is an unholy abomination.
2. It is the result of decisions made by people woefully out of touch with the very people it is intended to serve. Most of these folks are above SWX and reside in Dassault.
3. The noise we have been making has been getting attention at DSS. This is our only hope.

While I am not optimistic that any significant changes to the forum in the 3DSwamp will happen I do feel an obligation to try to make changes for our betterment. SWX used to listen to what we wanted. We need that back.

There have already been a lot of very pointed suggestions to make the new SWX forum better. I do not believe that much if any of them will actually be implemented within the framework of the 3DSwamp. So here is my real suggestion to SWX/DSS. Make an appealing SWX User Forum website, independent of the 3DSwamp. Make it work with our expectations and input. Make it at least as good as the forum we are currently using on Jive and the new one at cadforum.net. MAKE IT INDEPENDENT OF THE 3DSWAMP. Keep the 3DSwamp forum so that people within the swamp can find it, but make it a link to the new "off-site" forum that works for us.

And since I have nothing to lose I will call you out, Gian Paolo Bassi and Bernard Charlès (c/o Ryan Priddy). I challenge you to read this entire thread and not just some excerpts. I challenge you to respond to us, your most passionate SWX users. What do you have to say about this mess?

(Having nothing to lose brings out the chutzpah! Is that French for balls?)

Well... i doubt this will changes anything, but i keep my hope up!
Definitely need to give a big kudos to @DennisD for shouting out GPB...

Things are getting busy again for my side, but I will still keep an eye on the whole forum migration stuff (and also marking my calendar to countdown the end of the forum)
