Online license broken

I suddenly have a problem with my online license. It has been working fine for years, but today it decided that it was unable to connect with the online server. I contacted our reseller and they had me delete the credentials file, license server directory, and online licenses registry entry. Now, when SW comes up, it wants me to log in. Here's the problem:
The log-in window is nonresponsive. None of the buttons on the screen do anything, so I enter my credentials and I'm stuck; I cannot move forward.
Any suggestions as to how I can fix this? The VAR has gone home for the week.
