Any one get this installed yet? Any issues?
I want to upgrade to get a get resolution on a couple bugs that are supposed to be fixed in 2021 SP4+, but I would also prefer to not run into new ones.
Any performance improvements that are noticeable?
2021 SP5 EV
Re: 2021 SP5 EV
Ah, I missed that one. Will install and see how it fares. I don't use 2021 that much lately, so I am of not much use in that regard. When it turns out disastrous I will post...

Re: 2021 SP5 EV
I wouldn''t bother with an EV release unless you have a show stopping issue with the previous SP.
Wait a few weeks for the regular SP5. Else you'll just end up installing it anyways on top of the SP5 EV.
Better still... give it a couple of days just in case there is something major wrong with SP5 so that you can jump directly to SP5.1

Re: 2021 SP5 EV
I thought was that if there are any major bugs, they could be found and possibly fixed before SP5 is official.
I haven't seen many X.1 SPs, any minor bugs are going to persist until 2022+.

*cough* 2021 SP5.1 *cough*
Re: 2021 SP5 EV
Glad I waited and didn't install the EV. This was a solid release cycle with 2x 0.1 SPs.
When is SP6 going to be released?
We might just skip 2021. 2022 is going to be a pain because of the SQL server upgrade requirement.

Re: 2021 SP5 EV
I'm still on 2020 sp5 and all this .1sp turning up is really putting me off.
It's bad enough I am going through a couple of tool designs from 2011. The imported files used for some tool designs have turned into a disaster.
The various surfacing to fix the part models imported simply does not work anymore in 2020. Some tools can be fixed others simply cannot (well not economically - way too many hours involved). If a full rebuild is done they are dead.
