Working in a 3D Sketch with surfaces or solids in the background, when I dimension a sketch entity, I click on the element to be dimensioned (line, etc) and then I have to drag the dimension so I release the mouse when the cursor is over "blank" space. When I try to release the mouse over a background entity (surface, solid, etc), that entity just flashes in blue and I can't "drop" the dimension. (I think it's trying to reference that other object?) Instead, I have to either drag the mouse far away to put dimension over blank screen, or I have to rotate my view.
Is there any workaround for this, like a control key I can press?
Thanks!

Re: Dimensions in 3D Sketch
Have you tried to turn selection filter on sketch entities only?
It will prevent to accidentally select the edges and faces in the background.
