The font size of dimensions is way too small to see clearly

Hi,
I have just started learning SolidWorks; and came across a question in regard to the font size of Smart Dimension.
For the 1st screenshot, I drew a line randomly and used smart dimension to define its length. But the size of number is too small to see. To see clearly, I need to use the scroll wheel to zoom in (2nd screenshoot). Do I need to go to Option> Document Properties to change the setting ? I think the screen should have been able to adjust the font size by itself.

You can modify your font sizes within the document properties. However, if you don't modify the part template then you'll have to do this on every part you create.

Check the font and size for the Dimensions as shown below as well as each of the items below that (Angle, Diameter, Linear, etc.)

If its not as suggested then try this
Document properties-detailing-and tick always display text at the same size.

Drives me mad this one. Happens all the time on my machine.

Cheers

I agree that this should be on. Problem is it's a document setting so it depends on the file you have open.

Check this box. Then see how it changes.

Basically, what that box does is scale the text up or down based on zoom level, so that the text always sow up at the same size.

That size is determined here:

Alternatively, you can leave that box unchecked and change the scale in the drop down menu, but then you will keep running into this issue.

If you have several places that you need to change the font, size, etc; it might be easier to create a new drafting standard and apply it to the document.

Do you have a 4K monitor? Looking at your screen shots, and since you are in a sketch, I think you might want to adjust your ui scaling within windows.

The font may also render too small if you edit the sketch in perspective view.

Unchecking this might help.
