Using SW2017, I believe I changed a setting unintentionally while trying to solve an unrelated issue.
In an assembly file, when I expand a part in the feature tree, I used to see a folder for "mates" and below that the various planes, features, etc.
Now, I see all the mates listed out and a folder for "features".
If anyone can tell me how change this back to my previous setting I would very grateful.
Here's an image with my current issue:
Assy Feature Tree Mates Folder
Re: Assy Feature Tree Mates Folder
For what it's worth, this has been my preferred way of viewing assemblies for 20 years. To change it back, just right click at the top of the feature tree, select 'Tree Display' and turn on 'View Features' instead of View Mates and Dependencies':
Re: Assy Feature Tree Mates Folder
Thank you, JSculley!
That's what I was looking for.
I can see the advantage of showing "mates" instead of "features".
What really bothered me was changing something I didn't mean to, then not being able to undo the change.
If it was up to me, I think my preference would be to be able the see planes/axis, then a folder for both mates and features.
Thanks again.

Re: Assy Feature Tree Mates Folder
When working with assemblies I have this 'View mates and Dependencies' option active 90% of time. It's so much clearer to position and align components, IMHO
