A gamer's path to find out if CPU or GPU is limiting.
I don't think most CAD user will push enough for GPU to be limit.

I would say that it's about the programmers of whatever software being used are the ones that have to allow for the changes to take place to use CPU or GPU. Most CAD applications, because of the way that they are currently coded, are at best multi-core for CPU not GPU. There are some aspects of CAD packages that leverage GPU but that's few and far between.....

If someone able to code multi-thread CAD kernel, they'll Disrupt the whole industry.

Curious that they didn't interview anyone from D'Assault. Probably just a coincidence.

Because DS just updated SW to old version of OpenGL :p

Neither CPU or GPU is the limiting factor. I believe the limiting factor is the application of history-based (aka linear) solving practices of the CAD applications.

It's the modeling kernel. I believe all current kernels for all CAD are linear.
Whoever figure out the math and design a multi-thread kernel will be rich.

but you need to disable it to avoid graphical glitches.
