CL in Drawings - Holes Only?

In Drawings: When I use the centerline tool, and I want to Auto-Insert centerlines at all holes in a view, I click the "Select View" checkbox. This works fine, but if my part has tangent edges in it (such as with angle iron), it will create a centerline for all the curves in the angle iron and I have to then delete them. Is there any way to set the auto-insert to only holes and not linear tangents?

Thanks

Here's what I got with these settings, using SW2022 sp 4.0. I don't know if SW2021 is different.

I agree with Glenn's Auto Insert settings in the Center Mark tool. Particularly, uncheck "For all fillets" to avoid the center marks upon structural member profiles.

I also agree with Glenn's auto insert settings. However, they are entirely irrelevant to your question since you're asking about centerlines and not Center Marks.

Unfortunately, there's no way to specify that only holes get centerlines.

The auto centerline/centermark tool in Solidworks drawings has been the single most disappointing and useless thing Dassault has ever created.

I saw that, but I guess the part about wanting them in holes threw me a curve. I assumed the OP meant center marks and not center lines.

Sorry. Center Lines, not center marks. I should have put in a screen-shot.
I hardly ever use center marks b/c my clients don't require them and I find it easier to snap dimensions to the actual hole. Of course now that I think of it I can always put the center marks on another layer and disable it for dims etc etc.

Thanks everyone For replying

LOL......

If you only need a few it's better to do them by hand then using auto insert because of the extra ones you get when auto inserting them. You can window and delete them, but it's still a pin in the rear.
