Does Solidworks 2023 read or write STEP AP 242? 242 transmits MBD/PMI data. I don't have the latest version installed.

It doesn't look like it that's an option.

Interesting. Do you know if that's an option that comes with the SW MBD package?

SOLIDWORKS MBD has STEP 242 capability. It's been there since SW2019.

I bleev it requarz the MBD add-in. Separate $$$.

Interesting. If you populated the model with dimensions and STEP 242'd it out to Solid Edge, you would get a live-editable model in Synchronous.

Hmmm quick way to switch to SE?

SE has utilities to bring mates over. Not sure if 242 includes mates.
