Ordinate text in the wrong place

I know this problem has been around forever. Ordinate dimension text is on the wrong side of the leader. Has anyone found a solution for it?

Don't see it in SW2019. Could you share some example files?

His example is in a sketch in the 3d environment.
Your example is in the drawing environment. Very different animals.
I agree, I see this ALL THE TIME in the sketch environment, and I don't know how to fix it. But since I don't use the sketch dimensions visually for anything other than model data, it hasn't been a big issue for me.

Never dealt with it either so can't be of much help. Maybe it has to do with line directions?

I'm with @DanPihlaja. I rarely use ordinate dimensions in model sketches, though I use them often in drawings. Even if I did get that behavior when using them in a model sketch I wouldn't care.

I see a similar behavior in drawings, but it is always at the other end, never at the dimension end. The only fix I've found for that is to delete it and recreate it. (I didn't even know you could use ordinate dimensions in a sketch.)

Never to old to learn. What is the sketch in the 3D environment? A sketch to create a feature in a part? Like the one below?

The option shown below doesn't work with ordinate dimensions, which is one big reason why I rarely use them in model sketches.

I use them for speed, one click per dimension, if you have a lot it goes quick. I then go back and give each the dimension it needs. I have seen what the OP got but it's not a problem for sketches.

Late to the party, but the answer is yes. A sketch at the part/assembly level.

Either way, never saw it in my files. Can you share an example? Finally one thing that works as I expected in my version of SolidWorks.
Many times my expectations don't meet SolidWorks intentions.
