Auto thread hole notation
Auto thread hole notation
What setup parameter within SW tells the drawing to automatically notate the threaded holes? I assume it is somewhere in the drawing template options, but it snot jumping out at me. In this example the (bold) M3x0.5 tapped hole is what is auto-populated when drawing is first created. The other note is me manually adding a hole callout which I typically do because it provides more useful information
Re: Auto thread hole notation
If you are creating the drawing view by dragging it in from the the View Palette there are also some options at the top of the View Palette for importing annotations.
Re: Auto thread hole notation
This is the most annoying feature in Solidworks.

AND I cannot for the life of me, figure out how to uncheck it be default.
I have tried many different ways and none of them stick.

You have to change it in the part template. This works fine until you change something else in the template, and then this setting is lost.
