2D Sketch Symbol

Unread post by Maha Nadarasa »

Notice this 2D sketch symbol. Symbol at the LHS is with blur grid mark in it. Symbol at the RHS is with empty space in it. Does it mean anything? Because I notice that Split Line will definitely work with 2D sketch but with 3D sketch no guarantee sometimes it will work and sometimes it will not.

I don't believe it means anything. The "blur" is a grid which is (was?) common in CAD tools when sketching/drawing. Personally I never use a grid so it's always off. The sketch icon without the grid is seen in other commands that call for a sketch as well like the Wrap command.

3d sketch and Split Line seem a bit fickle. It won't select the sketch but if I pick "Contour Select" it will. Not really something I would use, I don't think, but you never know.

@jcapriotti

Thank you for identifying error. Not square but grid.
