Convert to sheet metal -- Keep CSink holes

Is there anyway to keep countersink holes when using Convert to Sheet Metal function?
For some reason after using convert to sheet metal, my countersink holes become a normal hole

Why don't you try counter sink after converting it into sheet metal?

I am trying to converting a step file into a sheet metal solidworks part..
The part had quite a number of countersink hole which turn into normal through hole after convert... so was wondering is there any workaround beside creating them manually after convert..

Sorry but I am unable to share the file
I think that i am able to find a workaround which is using Insert Bend instead of Convert to sheet metal
The csunk hole is kept by using Insert Bend

Isnt the first picture, mean keep body? The sheet metal body still do not have the csunk, the csunk is on the imported body
I dont think feature recog work as even the feature recog recognize the csunk hole, it will still get converted to normal hole after Convert to Sheet Metal (i will still give it a try later)

I had same problem as you , and i use insert bends as well
It works nicely and it keeps all part geometry.

SPR 494523: After inserting bends or convert to sheet metal countersink and counterbore hole wizard features are converted to simple holes
It looks like they fixed the problem when using Insert Bends, but not when using Convert to Sheet Metal

Indeed.
I play around a little bit more with Insert Bends method and it seem that Insert Bend is able to preserve the geometry much better than convert to sheet metal method
I am not entirely sure why... but i guess it is due to how the software "process" the part, unlike convert to sheet metal, Insert Bend seem to "Flatten" the part first (Flatten-bend) then "Re-bend" it (Process-Bend) to form the sheet metal part, allowing it to preserve the feature.

Run "Recognize Features" on the imported part with "Sheet metal features" selected as the Feature Type.
This creates an entirely new part as sheet metal from the start.
Countersinks are preserved (at least they were is my simple test part).
