A little bit of background:
I am working on checking some files that was re-created in CREO, the original files is SOLIDWORKS

As i need to make sure the geometry of the file is matching, I am wondering is what is the best way to check the files in two system?
For example:
-- 12345.prt in CREO
-- 12345.sldprt in SOLIDWORKS

As of now, what i am doing is:
1. Export the CREO as step file
2. Import the step file into SOLIDWORKS
3. Run a volumetric compare
4. Assess and filter out the differences, sometimes the software generate false positive differences due to some fillets/chamfers or tap hole

Solidworks can open the CREO file directly. Creo might be able to do the same. I'm guessing Creo also has a compare tool. Just a matter of which one you like better.
