SW2021 SP3.0 part/assembly/drawing file icons Missing

I have a new machine with Solidworks
part/assembly/drawing file icons Missing in explorer, showing the generic SW App Icon for all SW file types.
I have changed the default program to SW Launcher
I have restored file locations and unchecked "show thumbnail graphics"
Any other ideas?

Are you referring to this?
I don't believe there is any way to change that. But I guess you know about the filters at the bottom of the SWX Open dialog?

I'm not aware of any way, though to be honest I've never tried very hard. I generally ignore it. As you can see, for me at least it seems to be random whether or not it will work.

What is your setting for Tools>Options>General>Show Thumbnail Graphics?
If the file has never been saved apart from the assembly, it may not have an independent thumbnail image. Several situations that could lead to no thumbnails. But I think if you turn off the thumbnails (and then reboot your computer), you'll only get SW file icons for parts, assemblies, and drawings.

My colleague logged into my machine the generic Solidworks part/assembly/drawing file icons appeared on his account
So we determined it was an issue with my Windows User account.
The solution was to wipe my Windows User Account and Restore it.
Then the generic Solidworks part/assembly/drawing file icons reappeared in explorer.
