I got an app that lets me scan with my cell phone. It's really awful, but it gives results.

The new iphone scans look decent.
We bought a structure scanner add on for the ipad when we first got into 3d scanning. There are a ton more options now for entry level scanner than a few years back when we bought our artech eva.

It is from $500- $5000 , depends on what you need out of the scanner. The Professional ones go from $20,000 to 50,000.
Artech eva is $20,000, artech Leo is $28,000, Creaform handscan black elite is $39,000
This is a pretty good guide with links and prices
